AboutAction to Support Orphans and Disadvantaged (ASOD) Uganda was founded in May 2004,as a grass root charity. On the 26th July 2005 the organisation was officially mandated by the laws of Uganda to be a local Non-Governmental Organization (NGO). To deal with the plight of Orphans and other Vulnerable Children (OVC) and the community orphaned by HIV/AIDS. ASOD-Uganda is a global looking for parteners to support local community-based organisations working to support community action on AIDS. In addition to community and country-based programmes, ASOD- Uganda also has extensive regional programmes and works on a range of national activities for example operations research, training and good practice development, gender and human rights, edcation, health, cross cutting issues of HIV/AIDS and advocacy.
